Fleeting Thoughts

Have you ever looked into your child's face looking back at you and suddenly caught your breath at the thought of loosing them? My stomach fell tonight in a flash at the split-second, fleeting thought of my precious little girl falling prey to some terrible illness. My mind quickly traveled to the prayer I would beg of God - to give up every gift He had ever given me in exchange for the health of my child. From there my mind quickly began to run through the many, over-flowing and exceeding gifts He had given me. I'm truly a blessed woman! And then the comfort came ... our God is so big and so good that His gifts aren't limited. He gives them freely and lavishly. He looks upon us with the same love and total adoration that I give to my two-year old. Only His is deeper.
